As we commemorate our 10-year milestone, we were thrilled to announce a significant achievement: as WIFT enters its 12th year now, we proudly stand as the inaugural film school in India to establish a dedicated movie production company exclusively for our students.WIFT boldly undertook the initiative to establish this production banner, aimed at providing our alumni with the opportunity to embark on their debut independent projects.
At WIFT CINEMAS, we place our trust in the exceptional talents of our students, allowing them to assume pivotal roles such as directing, cinematography, and editing, among others, based on their demonstrated expertise in their respective domains. This initiative has given rise to a production company firmly grounded in success and unwaveringly dedicated to equipping our students with essential resources and training.
Excitingly, WIFT CINEMAS stands on the brink of releasing our inaugural feature film, “ERAVU.” What sets this film apart and makes it truly special is that every creative and technical aspect of its production has been skilfully handled by our talented students.
“Eravu” was brought to life through the directorial prowess of Fazlin Muhammad and Ajil Wilson, while the cinematography was masterfully executed by Ajay TA, Franklin Shaji, and Amalnath. R. Anu Mohan contributed exceptional still photography skills, and our VFX team comprised some of our very own students: Muhammad Nisar, Jeevan, Firas, Aakash, Joel, and Alan.
From the initial concept to the final stages of post-production, these students have been deeply immersed in the filmmaking process, acquiring invaluable experience every step of the way. We firmly believe that this hands-on approach is the most effective means of nurturing and cultivating emerging filmmakers.
We are delighted to share that the journey of WIFT CINEMAS continues to progress successfully, and our next venture with our accomplished students has been unveiled. WIFT CINEMAS has launched its second cinematic endeavour with our students, titled “Pavithrabhoomiyile Punya Kundalam” graced by the presence of several esteemed celebrities from the industry.
